Tambakoo Chodo Jeevan Se Nata Jodo

What began in 2013 as our first step into cancer awareness has, over the years, grown into a deeply rooted, community-led movement. Tambaku Chhodo, Jeevan Se Naata Jodo isn’t just an event—it’s a recurring call to action. One that keeps returning to the streets, schools, bastis and public spaces where change begins through conversation.

Through powerful street plays, lived testimonies, and participatory dialogue, the campaign opens space for people to reflect on the link between tobacco, cancer, and care—without fear or blame. At its core, it’s about building trust and holding space for health conversations that often go unheard.

This page brings together video stories from different chapters of the campaign. Each one is a glimpse into the work, the people, and the moments that continue to shape it.

Watch, share, and walk with us—as we keep building this journey, one conversation at a time.

Held on World No Tobacco Day, this open house—organised by the Samitra Mishra Memorial for Cancer Research—brought together doctors, experts, and the public to discuss tobacco addiction through medical and psychological lenses.
The event also commemorated the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar, whose legacy of care, reform, and public service served as a guiding spirit.
Together, the dual focus honoured health and heritage—calling for a tobacco-free future grounded in compassion and community action.

An open house on quitting tobacco brought doctors and citizens into shared dialogue—rooted in facts, lived experiences, and urgent care.
Hosted in Delhi, the session focused on building awareness around tobacco-linked cancers through science and public testimony.
Leaders and medical experts called for collective action, reminding us that quitting tobacco isn’t just a personal choice—it’s a public responsibility.
